In August 2017, the Rohingyas started fleeing Myanmar’s Rakhine State for fear of persecution.

As it was vital to help with this humanitarian crisis, the Rotary Club of Grand Baie identified Shelter Box as the its partner NGO to assist the refugees on the ground.  The club donated Rs60,115 (GBP1,300) towards this cause and is thankful for the donations of Rs20,000 each from Mr Yusha Lutchmun and an anonymous donor.
